Branding a Consultancy: Magna Hvati | TTGC

A consultancy has no product to demo. It sells judgment, and judgment is hard to see. A client has to trust it first. The brand is where a firm earns that trust, long before anyone reads a proposal. We built the brand strategy and identity for Magna Hvati Business Solutions.

The challenge

Magna Hvati Business Solutions is a business solutions and consultancy firm. It is led by CEO Mherie Vic Palomo-Prevendido. One disclosure first: she also co-founded Through The Glass Creatives. Clients hand a consultancy problems they would never discuss in public. That is what makes the work hard to sell. The best of it stays private, so a firm cannot show a client's numbers to win the next one. So the brand has to do the proving on its own, in the seconds before anyone has read a word.

Our approach

Strategy came first, and it began as a set of hard questions. Who does the firm serve, and who does it politely turn away? What position will it argue that a competitor would not? Why should a client trust it before the first meeting? The answers set the target we designed toward: capability and calm, with nothing loud in the mix. That ruled options out as much as it ruled them in. A trend-led identity ages quickly, and a consultancy that looks current this year can look dated in three.

What we built

- A brand strategy that settles the firm's position: who it serves, what it argues, and which work it turns away.

- A visual identity tested first in the small, dull places. The footer of a proposal. An email sign-off. The cover of a contract. If it holds there, the big formats take care of themselves.

- A brand voice built on a single rule: state the position first, then explain the reasoning behind it. That is how a trusted advisor communicates. A sales pitch does the reverse.

- A system with enough rules to hold at every client touchpoint. Few enough that the team will use them. A guide nobody follows is just a file nobody opens.

The outcome

The firm now presents itself the same way everywhere, from a first introductory email to a closing deck. A brand will not win a mandate on its own, because judgment does that. What a brand can do is stop a serious firm from appearing smaller than its work. It gives a client one credible reading of who they are dealing with.
